KC FRINGE 2012 ARTWORK | Designed by Ryan Haralson

Fringe Artwork 2012
KC Fringe's 2012 commemorative artwork was designed by visual artist, Ryan Haralson. Ryan's artwork adapts the Hindu goddess, Kali, into a goddess of the KC Fringe. According to About.com, Kali is "the fearful and ferocious form of the mother goddess". I'm often called "Mother Fringe" and while I don't think I look ferocious, my commitment to supporting artists is both nurturing and fierce. Learn more about Ryan Haralson in our Fringe Feature this issue. He's an emerging talent in Kansas City and we want to nurture and support him. His choice of Kali's multi-armed form reflects the diversity of offerings at the KC Fringe as we juggle to support the exciting growth and demand for art in KC.

Fringefully,

Cheryl Kimmi, Executive Director
KC Fringe Festival
