July News!

Greetings!

It's time. We've got 121 artists/groups  and 363 performances/shows lined up for the 2013 festival, volunteers are signing up, and we are picking up momentum... The only thing missing is you.

I can't wait to see you, our wonderful audience; I can't wait to find you filling in the venues, feeding in the energy that uplifts our artists and performers. Luckily, we don't have to wait! We have a great chance for you to come out and participate, this weekend.

Our first ever T-Shirt Remix ends this Sunday: we would love for you to join us for the competition finale and judging... and there is still time for you to join in the competition! To enter, you simply need to upcycle a Fringe t-shirt, using it to craft a different shirt or garment, and submit it by6:45pm this Sunday

The winner of the T-shirt Remix will receive a VIP pass - unlimited access - to the 2013 festival.
It's not too late to begin. If you don't have a Fringe shirt you're willing to destroy/recreate, you can pick up a vintage t-shirt from me at KCPT! We will have $5 vintage T-shirts available during their business hours, 9-5, at 125 E 31st St, Kansas City, MO 64108.

I can't wait to see you in the audience for July, and I can't wait to see what you come up with for this competition

Fringefully,
Cheryl Kimmi

Fringe Previews | Tantalizing Teasers

Opening night is just around the corner, and you have several great opportunities to preview the shows you could catch during this year's festival.
7/5/13We'll start July with our annual First Friday preview; join us for On the Fringe on Friday, July 5th! (In past years, you've probably attended "In the Black;" it's the same celebration with a new name.) This evening of Fringe family and Fringe performance teasers will be hosted at the Farm to Market Bread Company, 100 E 20th St.
7/12/136:30pmWe are pleased to announce that the Kansas City Public Library has chosen to host their own evening of Fringe Festival teasers. The Fringe Festival Preview will be held at the Central Library downtown. To RSVP with the library and find more details, visit the KCPLcalendar of events.

7/18/136:30-10:30pmWe are delighted that our Opening Night Partywill again be held at the Spencer Theater of the KC Rep. At this red-carpet delight you can hobnob with Fringe stars, catch previews for dozens of Fringe shows, and celebrate Fringiness with audience and volunteers alike. The party will continue after the previews, as well! Find more details and invite your friends online.

We're looking forward to seeing you in the front row.
Fringe Special Offers | All-Access Passes and Punchcards

In response to audience requests, KC Fringe launched special passes last year. By popular demand, we are continuing them this year!

You can get more art for your dollar with a Fringe Punchcard: $90 will get you a $100 card. You can use the card in $5 increments at any performance's box office, to get tickets for yourself or your entire group.

If that's still not enough art for you, the festival becomes an all-you-can-art buffet with an All-Access Pass. This pass can be converted into a ticket at every performance in the festival, letting you attend as many shows as you can fit into your schedule. With this $250 pass, you could join the ranks of the festival's most dedicated, seeing over 30 shows in the 11-day stretch.

You can pick up these specials at any Fringe box office, or at Fringe 411. Just remember, these passes cannot reserve your seat - you'll still need to hit the box office early enough to claim your space in the audience. With a little planning, you can make it to more shows than ever. Happy Fringe-ing!
